IBEX-Lo TOF Level 2 data is organized by three basic criteria. First by orbit, then by energy, finally by species. For detailed and comprehensive orbit information including satellite positioning and pointing, please refer to the ISOC. The center of each of the 8 possible energy bands is included in each level 2 data product. Data is sorted into broad Oxygen and Hydrogen categories. The Oxygen categorization contains both Oxygen and Carbon counts. For time-of-flight files, there are also complete Oxygen/Carbon/Hydrogen histograms. these are labeled as 'All'. For each of these three categories, the data has been compiled into a Time-of-flight histogram, and an angular histogram. In both cases all data from a single orbit, energy, and species has been integrated over the entire time period of the orbit, and this time in seconds included in the data product. Time of Flight Histograms: Filename convention: IBEX_Lo_Level2_TOF2_o[NNNN]_e[M]_[SPECIES]_v1_1.csv ^ ^ ^ | | | orbit# -- | -- Oxygen, Hydrogen, or All Energy Step #-- The definition of the center of each of the 8 energy steps is as follows: Energy Hydrogen Oxygen Step Energy (eV) Energy (eV) 1 15 16 2 29 32 3 55 65 4 110 132 5 209 279 6 439 601 7 872 1206 8 1821 2361 Time of flight (TOF) histograms are accumulated in 0.33ns steps from 0 to 340ns (for a total of 1024 steps). This represents the resolution of the TOF in the CEU. This data is culled from the raw TOF2 data from IBEX-Lo. For a detailed description of the various TOFs, refer to the latest IBEX-LO TOF reference document, available on the ISOC. Like all Level2 data of this version, this data is integrated over the entire orbit. In the next version these will both be binned in the exact same way. Angular bins are labeled at the center of the bin range, while TOF bin are labeled at the start of the bin. This confusion will be cleared up by the time of final data delivery.
